Friday 15th September

God, I haven't posted for ages. Been too busy, and this blogging thing is something I'm in two minds about - geeky & tedious? Yes. Of absolutely no interest to anyone? Yes.

Anyway, here we go.

• Wasted half an hour this morning looking at property in Surrey, before deciding that I'd rather move up north than live in the suburbs. What's the point?
  

• Am now embarking on a search to find a useful blog about cognitive psychology, since all the books on Amazon cost upwards of £40. All I want is an introduction at this stage.

It's Friday, so I'm sure there will be more time-wasting obsessions to come.

Tuesday 5th September

Been a bit busy to obsess lately, but I have found the time to squeeze these in:

• My new blog on parenting website Minti

• Toying with the idea of getting an eccentric (but reliable) old banger. If we're going to get a full on family car, let's at least make it interesting. We've been spoilt by the Mini.

• I wonder if it's possible to get an estate car that looks good? We need to sell the Mini. A 4 door hatchback is fine for now, but if we are having another baby, where's the dog going to go?
  
  
• Winchmore Hill. A good move? Or should we stay in NW10?
  

Friday 25th August

Today I have been obsessing about

• Laptop bags that look like handbags. Still. This one will run and run
  

I have also been wondering how it is that I can get paid over 2k and still have less than £300 to actually spend this month, after expenses etc. So depressing, so boring.

Wednesday 23rd August

So far today I have been obsessing about

• How much would a mortgage lender offer us if my husband got a new job?
  
  
• What kind of house would our hypothetical new budget get us? (Answer - a small crappy one)
  
  
• How far did I run last night, using the clever www.gmap-pedometer.com? About 4k, not bad. What other routes can I take that won't leave me stranded in a closed park/mugged/lost now the nights are drawing in?
  

Tuesday 22nd August

Today I am mostly obsessing about...

• Finding a post-graduate degree in something usability related.

• Shopping in Dallas.

• Finding a bag big enough to carry a laptop yet doesn't look like a laptop bag.
